Accelerating AI talent across Latin America

AI Week aims to foster talent development, accelerate AI adoption, and strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. Participants gain skills in Agentic AI, Generative AI, and High-Performance Computing (HPC), positioning Colombia at the forefront of digital transformation and competitiveness across Latin America.

Held in partnership with NVIDIA, the event delivers certification-oriented Deep Learning Institute (DLI) workshops using NVIDIA-provided infrastructure. More than 21 national and international speakers participate, including NVIDIA ambassadors from Mexico and Peru who serve as instructors.

AI Week also functions as a direct talent pipeline into graduate NLP research programs. Many of the master's students at Uniandes have noted they discovered the program through AI Week or the NVIDIA workshops, making the event a cornerstone for attracting the next generation of AI researchers.

"AI Week positions Colombia at the forefront of digital transformation and competitiveness in emerging technologies across Latin America."
